Adult San Dan - 3rd Dan Black Belt

This grade will be awarded when the student demonstrates the integration of all knowledge and skill they have learned.

This level is characterized by their ability to analyse, innovate, improve or reject technique, and their understanding and application of the principles of Ju Jitsu.

They should demonstrate a high degree of control of the immediate environment and be aware of their influence over events in the wider context. They should understand and demonstrate the common threads between technique and their psychological aspects.

Much of what is required in SanDan cannot be expressed in anything but the vaguest terms, but is determined by the quality of spirit, determination and attitude.
