Junior Grading Syllabus

These are the Junior Grading Syllabus for ages between - 14 year olds to 18 year olds.

Why Have 4 Different Syllabus

The role of having 4 different syllabus for Juniors, Adults, Seniors and Disabled are not to discriminate but rather to serve the community better.

In essence we cannot apply a powerful joint lock on the developing body of a child, nor can we use a powerful throw on a 50 year old man.

The reason for having 4 different syllabus is to make sure that everyone enjoys Jujitsu without age and physical restrictions, avoiding any unnecessary "would be" injuries.

Requirements

The following are the requirements of what is expected of each student in order for them to be awarded a particular kyu or dan grade. Each section provides guidelines on what techniques are appropriate to learn, and consist of a variety of techniques at each level.

The major joint manipulation module will NOT be taught in the Junior Syllabus. Understanding the developing body structure within this age group, NO strainuous and dangerous techniques will be taught.

The syllabus will concentrate more on confidence developement, communication skills, safety and spacial awareness.
